The foundation of our practice here on Morocco’s Atlantic ocean, is Sivananda yoga, but with a refreshing twist. Vicki has been inspired by a number of yoga teachers in India, Nepal and Britain, resulting in a classical and powerful ‘Hatha’ basis within her classes yet with her own unique touch for complete body and mind strengthening and rejuvenation.

Over the course of the week you will learn and improve on your existing knowledge of all 12 basic asanas (postures/poses) and their variations. You will learn how to use yoga to relieve stress, pain, illness, increase physical and mental strength and self-confidence.


You will be inspired and revived by a daily practice of pranayama (breathing exercises).You will purify the body and mind through the practice of certain kriyas (classical yogic cleansing exercises).You will be deeply calmed from regular sarvasana (guided relaxation). 


You will feel mentally alert yet content and peaceful throughout each and every day. 


Yoga classes are held in the shade of our stunning beachside wooden pagoda, with the golden sands of Killer’s Bay immediately to the right and Mysteries beach to the left.  We simply can’t be any closer to the ocean.  With such a perfect setting your body and mind will be instantly awakened and revived for the day ahead.

During the retreat there is also the opportunity to learn about the ancient Indian philosophy of yoga from Vicki who has a masterate in Indian religion and philosophy.

After a week of our inspiring yoga, you’ll leave the retreat with a renewed sense of vigour, positivity and joy to face the world afresh!

Surfing

Our coaches can provide safe, fun, rewarding surf lessons for all abilities.  Morocco’s year round good climate and huge variety of waves mean that it’s the perfect place to learn and progress.  From small, easy waves for learning on to rolling point breaks, this region has it all.  And with our local knowledge, top quality coaches and equipment, there is no better place to learn and improve your surfing.

Vicki’s experience of teaching yoga to surfers has enabled her to develop a technique which keeps the surfing muscles strong and supple. For beginners and experienced surfers yoga is an essential practice in developing the mental and physical strength required to surf and keep surfing.  It’s a sublime combination.

Surf guides and transport to the beach are included in all yoga retreats and our team will ensure that you get to the breaks with the best conditions for you. Surf lessons are also included and can be provided on days and at times to suit you throughout your stay.
