Club and Errant Rider, Winners
Errant will continue to sponsor the Hotdoggers Surf Club in North Devon, hailed as Europe's biggest surf club, the club will benefit from prize and equipment sponsorship in 2007. Ben Haworth, last years league championship winner and Errant team rider has got off to a great start winning the first event of 2007.
The ‘Open’ event was the most hotly contested and a high standard of surfing was seen throughout the rounds. Ben Haworth was on a mission to defend his previous two club titles and his two months training in Morocco certainly seemed to shine through with Ben pulling off some amazingly smooth and radical maneuvers. Ben worked through his rounds to take first place in each of his heats eventually winning the final above other open finalists Greg Robinson, Keano and Tim Aylett.

British Junior Team Travel With Errant
It’s a windy January day in Newquay and 20 of the countries best young surfers are tearing up the big Atlantic swell. In the water with them is top BPSA surfer Lew Whittaker, everyone jostling for waves and upping the tempo as each set comes in.On the shore BSA coaching director Barry Hall, British Junior team manager Carlos Barata join the team’s coaches Dominique Kent and Tyson Greenway. For some time now the young surfers have been religiously following a surf development plan set out by the British Surfing Association. Over the weekend they will be coached using the latest techniques and equipment. Followed by yoga sessions and fitness tests. The young surfers are all looking to impress their seniors for a place on the team at the World Surfing Games in Portugal this spring. To aid their surf training programme, the squad are due to fly out with Errant surf holidays to Morocco to spend one week of intensive training in warmer water. This will be the first time to Africa for many of the young surfers and although only a short flight away the groms will be exposed to a new culture and way of life. The British Junior team manager, Carlos Barata comments “This is a fantastic opportunity for the surfers to spend a week in the warmth and really focus on their personal surfing. I am stoked to be working with Errant on this project and am positive this will develop this into a regular training week away.” Morocco is a perfect destination for this time of the year for the team. Good regular flights, sunshine, a range of waves to be coached on and amazing, fresh food. “The squad will be staying in Tamraght overlooking the waves of Banana point and Devils Rock.
